Description
Alone in the world, she felt. And for so long. Untethered. Ruderless. Afeared. It was not the notebook alone that changed it all, no no, let us be honest and be real: one does need more than that. Food. Shelter. A warm touch. A gentle word. A look from knowing eyes and wise heart that says, yes, it is you, you are the one who is needed right now and in this place. A look that says, friend, you are not alone.
And it is all of these things and more, but it began, as it so often does, with the notebook. With words. It started there and it continues still. By some some miraculous confluence of choice and chance and change, she stumbled upon this notebook, and she made herself a scribe, and in doing so, she entered upon a new world, freer and better, released from the shackles of dread, and she wrote and she wrote and oh how she wrote. And her words were a poem, a prayer, a life boat, a vessel of comfort and of courage, for herself and for others.
This notebook is a paper-based, wire-bound homage to the magic of acts of creation and of communion. Made from paper given a second chance at life – just as she was – and by repurposing this paper, 200 litres of water – 266 standard water bottles – were saved. As she was too.
Only light blue notebooks remaining.
