Description
Its origin reads “bag” but my friend Dario wears it with the ease of a cape. He can swing it above his head in a single fluid motion, resting it upon his shoulder, one end pointed toward the sky. He gathers wild flowers and truffles from the fields and fire wood for those cold winter months. He uses it to carry his brassicas and stone fruits from the market and to hold his towels and bathing suits and sunblock and sunhat and beach shoes and sun umbrella when daytripping to the seaside. He uses it to carry the bottles of mead he makes and the sour dough he bakes which he delivers to his elderly neighbours. Whatever he carries, the weight is channeled smoothly down his neck and spine, and he walks tall upon his trail, with pride.
Dario says this bag is the best bag he’s ever had. And Dario would know. His name, its Latin form, means “possessor of good”, he’s the kind of person who knows the price of things, he knows what’s what. He knows a good thing when he sees it.
